It has been quite the day. The day started with a trip to the lab for a blood test. My primary wants to have some tests done before I have a colonoscopy. I am also preparing for my Hepatitis C treatment plan. On the way home from my blood deposit I get a call from Mark M. He wanted to stop and fuel after his training flight. I asked Gina if I should take the money from propane and use it to purchase a ignition coil for the Honda. Then off to the parts store to pickup the new coil. Back home to install. When I replaced the spark plugs the #2 plug was badly fouled. I made the assumption that the #2 coil was my issue. The Honda was undriveable from the studdaring engine and the warning lights on the dash. I changed the #2 coil and started the engine with no luck. Same lights and rough running engine. So I took the coil from #2 and installed it on the #1 cylinder. That did not fix the issue. I then took the coil from #1 and installed it on the #3 cylinder. That did the trick. The engine was now running well. I took the car out for a test drive and it went well. I cleared the error codes. The P0303 code remained. But the engine was running well. There was a faint studder at idle. So I suspect that there is another coil with issues. We will see. The rest of the day was consumed with the protest in Washington. The news is calling it looting and rioting and vandalism but I have only seen one window broken. They called out the national guard, capitol police and the FBI and they are talking about the Metro Police also coming. Where was this force when the Black Lives Matters people or the Antifa people were ACTUALLY rioting and doing the stuff they are accusing the protesters of doing? Where was this type of “show of force” in Seattle or Portland or California or amazon? Just crazy.
